presentation

Bertram Dhellemmes (electric guitar, electronics) and Edward Reardon (piano, electronics) propose an organically improvised musical conversation – friendly but not avoiding frictions, temperamental but candid, evocative but unscripted. Rooted in many styles but belonging to none, their music develops freely in the moment as guitar and piano compete and complement each other, with the help of various electronic music devices.

Bertram Dhellemmes is a French musician and multimedia artist living and working in Vienna. Playing guitars and electronics, he’s been involved in improvised music for over 20 years, performing in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Japan, Germany and Austria, often in collaboration with dancers or within transmedia collaborative projects. He is the founder of the guitar improvisation orchestra Soft Power Ensemble of Vienna.
Edward Reardon is a composer and improviser born in Chicago and currently living in Vienna. Playing piano, guitar and analog synthesizers, he performed in many ensembles, including Raum-Espacio Ensemble1234, the Richard Nickel Transaction Ensemble, and Black Dot. Recently, he performed as a guest with the WOWtrio from Lucern, Switzerland. He is also a prolific composer for theater.
